UMYF Meeting Time

A Day at Carowinds!

Do you love roller coasters and spinning rides? Looking for something fun to do before school starts? Join us for a trip to Carowinds in Charlotte, NC on Saturday, August 21. We will leave the church at 8AM and return by 9PM. Please let Andrea know by August 15 if you're planning to attend.

Rising 6th Graders Night

Welcome, rising sixth graders to the youth group. You and your parents are invited to attend a special meeting where you will be given all the information you will need to know about the Youth Group. We will meet Thursday, August 26, 7-8PM in the Youth Center. Hope to see you there!

Fall Kickoff Picnic

Summer has gone by so quickly and it is nearly the start of the school year again (I know everyone is overjoyed). At least there's an upside: The Benson Memorial Youth Kickoff Picnic! Youth and their families are invited to attend.

The picnic will be Sunday, August 29 from 5-7PM at Falls Lake. Bring the whole family and enjoy some summer fun and food!

High School Bible Study

All high school students have the great opportunity again this year to be a part of something great! Lynda and Robert Boone will continue with their Bible study each Thursday night from 7:00-8:00pm. They are trying some new things this year, you should definitely be there to check it out!!! Call them at 510-6800 with any questions. We are excited to see you there!!!

Middle School Movie Night

Are you in middle school and want something cool to do with your friends on Friday nights? We have something for you!!! Back on September 4th, Nevin and Carol Fouts’ started hosting a movie night just for middle schoolers at their home complete with pizza and popcorn. They will be watching a movie and then discussing its relevance to our lives and our relationship with God. The movie nights will be on the first Friday of every month. The Fouts’ address is 2825 Patrie Place , Raleigh . Call Nevin and Carol at 845-7047 with questions. We hope to see you and your friends there!!!

Youth Council

Do you have things you want to youth group to do? Can you think of topics we should study? Do you want to be a part of the decisions we make? We are reforming the Youth Council this Fall. Everyone is invited to be a part of it. You just have to be in 6th-12th grade. Contact Andrea if you are interested in being on Youth Council.

We want to know what you have going on in your life. Do you have football games, band competitions, dance recitals, orchestra concerts, or anything else you do coming up? Send me an email and I will send it to the rest of the youth leaders so we can be there to support you! You are important to us!!
