About UMYF

Radical Discipleship. Christian Formation. Benson Memorial’s Youth Program is all about making disciples of our young people, helping them to connect to others and recognize God’s presence and call upon their life. We believe that the church is to be in dynamic ministry to our youth, that we are to be in vibrant ministry with our youth, and that youth also play a role in ministering to the body of Christ with excellence. In so many ways, young people are not the future of the church, they ARE the church NOW! Made up of grades 6 through 12, the youth ministry at Benson has been a strong part of the church for decades. UMYF Meeting Time

UMYF meets from 4:00-6:00pm. We will have snack supper from 5:30-6:00pm. If you have questions, let Andrea know 787-0789 or aporter@bm-umc.org

There will boating, jet skis, tubing, water skiing, games, Frisbee, football, and hot dogs! Bring a towel, a change of clothes, and a friend! A Day at Carowinds!

Do you love roller coasters and spinning rides? Looking for something fun to do before school starts? Join us for a trip to Carowinds in Charlotte, NC on Saturday, August 21. We will leave the church at 8AM and return by 9PM. Please let Andrea know by August 15 if you're planning to attend.
