Andrea was born and raised in Bettendorf, Iowa. She attended college at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa. There she earned a degree in Health Promotion with the emphasis in Women's Health and Global Health.

Andrea married her husband Ben in the summer of 2006. Andrea and Ben moved to the Raleigh area in August of 2008 in order for Ben to pursue a career in Biotechnology.

Andrea was involved in Young Life ministry for 4 years. During her experience, she felt a strong call to pursue youth ministry. As she learns and continues to experience God's calling on her life, she is excited to bring the truth of Jesus Christ to the young people at Benson Memorial.
