Financial Peace University.Led by: Mike Sullivan and Michael Martin. This study is based on the bestselling books and workshops of Dave Ramsey and offers practical advice to singles, couples, and parents on managing personal finances and overcoming debt. His practical methods, supplemented with personal stories, offer insights on the forces behind financial distress and guidance on how to set things right financially, emotionally and spiritually. The study looks at the basic elements of career, savings, investments and spending and shows participants how to get out of debt and stay out; how to use the principle of contentment to guide financial decisions; and how the flow of money can revolutionize relationships and the family dynamic. Beginnings. Led by: Rev. Ed Priestaf. This 12-week small-group study introduces the most basic themes of Christianity and explores the most fundamental questions of religion. It is intended for adults hungry for an intentional walk with God that encourages a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and targets inquirers, explorers, seekers, and new church members. It is designed to begin where you are on your spiritual journey -- a small-group experience where participants can ask questions about the Christian faith, explore their walk with God, and form or deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ and Christian community. Images of Faith. Led by: Cheryl Harrison. This 6-weeks survey course will focus on early Christian art, its images and stories of the period 0 AD to 1500 AD. Through the leader's presentation and group discussion, participants will discover symbols evident in art of the period and their purposes; relate these works to events of the time and to their past; and gain an appreciation of the power of this art in its time, as well as its continuing message for the community of believers across the ages. MAD About Dance Academy! Led by: Wesley Boz. So you think you can’t dance? Think again! MAD About Dance Academy instructors are world class, and they want to help you make something graceful out of your two left feet. Sign up alone or with a friend!! Registration and instruction will be handled through MAD About Dance Academy. Beginning Country 2-Step, Foxtrot and Waltz, Rumba and Cha Cha. Call (919) 494-2300 for more information. Disciple II: Into the Word Into the World. Led by: Rev. Jon Strother and Elaine McBride. This 32-week study is for adults who have completed the Disciple 1 series. "Disciple II: Into the Word, Into the World" selects specific portions of Scripture and delves deeper into them. The study covers writings in Genesis, Exodus, Luke, and Acts (eight lessons on each book). The study proclaims the transforming power of Scripture while teaching Bible study skills that can be carried with you for a lifetime. The importance of keeping Bible study related to witness is reinforced, All experiences of life are envisioned as opportunities for faithful witness and service that can change habits and transform lives. DivorceCare. Led by: Jennifer Riggert and Ken Barnhouse. The DivorceCare program is an ongoing support/recovery group for individuals experiencing the stress, hurt, confusion, and isolation of separation or divorce. Led by individuals who understand the experience, DivorceCare provides help, healing, stability and hope for the future through access to a variety of expert resource materials developed by Christian ministers, psychologists, so cial workers, teachers and counselors experienced in divorce recovery ministries. Group members meet regularly, view a short video on divorce and recovery topics, participate in related discussion and share what's going on in their lives -- all within the comfort and confidentiality of a caring small group. Woman to Woman. Led by: Amy Priestaf and Jo Balcome. This group will offer an opportunity for women to join in the fellowship of a short-term study that looks at scripture lessons and life experiences from a woman's perspective: living well the roles we have, preparing for the roles to come, letting go of the roles that are past, all in the context of being a woman of faith, joy and influence.
