Pat has a bachelor's degree in Music Education from Pfeiffer University where she majored in piano and sang with the Pfeiffer Concert Choir. Since living in Raleigh she has served as Minister of Music at Calvary Presbyterian, played piano at Asbury UMC, and taught K-8 music at Our Lady of Lourdes School. While there she began a children's choir, entered children in NC Honor's Chorus, and participated in the yearly Elementary Choral Celebration at Meymandi Hall.

She resides in N. Raleigh with her husband, Paul. They have two children, Megan and Matt, and a cat named Chevy.
