THE ADULT FELLOWSHIP WILL MEET THURSDAY, OCTOBER 9,
11:30 A.M. AT
BENSON BOOK GROUP, MONDAY, OCTOBER 20, 7PM – The Benson Book Group will meet to discuss My
Sister’s Keeper by Jodi Picoult on Monday,
October 20, at 7PM. However, the library
has been unable to get books for us. If
anyone has a copy of this book that you can loan, please contact Carol Gosselin at j_c_gosselin@bellsouth.net
or 881-0504. If you have read this book,
we would love to have you join the discussion.
THE NEW WORSHIP SERVICE EXPLORATION TEAM is off and running! This team has met twice to
consider who we are in worship, who our neighbors are, and how God might be
calling this church to reach out in new ways to offer additional opportunities
for passionate worship and radical hospitality to persons not yet at Benson
Memorial. Through October, the team will observe other worship
experiences, pray for our neighbors, and listen for God’s direction. Questions,
suggestions, and team volunteers are welcome. Please contact Ed Priestaf
at the church office.
FOOD DONATION COLLECTION AT THE STATE FAIR – The BMUMC annual food donations collection at the
State Fair for the Food Bank will be Thursday, October 23, Gate 6. Volunteers
are needed for one or more of the following shifts: 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.,
12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Please contact Ann and Gene Crumpler at 919 786-1097 or genecrumpler@bellsouth.net to
volunteer. We had a great time last year.
