Sunday School is held at 9:45 a.m. for children three years through 5th grade. This is a key time when the basics of Christian faith are taught. Our teachers, workers, education team and staff place strong emphasis on having a Sunday School program that will help children make new friends and learn more about God with hands-on Bible learning in a fun environment. Bibles are presented to all Third Graders in the fall. Benson Memorial wants to encourage a lifetime of reading enjoyment and learning from this special book. | Children's Church is a dynamic worship experience for children in Kindergarten through 2nd grade. Children accompany their parents to the 11:00 Worship Service, participate in the Children’s Moment, and then proceed to Children’s Church in the Fellowship Hall. Children’s Choirs meet Sunday evenings during the school year. The Carol Choir (2nd-5th grades) meets from 5:00-5:45pm in the choir room. The choir room is located beneath the main Sanctuary, next to the Youth Center (see Benson's Campus Map). Come make a joyful noise with us! No musical ability is required, just a love for singing and a commitment to the program. Our Children’s Choir Director uses an endless variety of activities that entertain and teach kids about music. Children’s Chimes is designed for second through fifth graders and meets on Sundays during the school year from 4:30-5:00p.m. in the Sanctuary. This group plays for worship several times throughout the year. Bring your children so they can learn how to ring. They will love it! | Acolytes are children in third through sixth grade who have the opportunity to serve the church by lighting the altar candles each Sunday during the 8:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. services. Contact Karen Stevens at rkstevens@nc.rr.com to arrange to have your child attend the next acolyte training session. |

| Nursery Care is provided on Sunday mornings from 8:15AM–12:15PM in Rooms 109 & 107 for infants through pre-kindergarten by a combination of professional and volunteer caregivers.
